Purchase of Standard and Specialist Vehicles

Summary

This open framework, let under the Procurement Act 2023, will give UK public and third sector organisations access to a wide range of standard, converted and specialist vehicles via outright purchase.

Description

This agreement will replace RM6244 Purchase of Standard and Specialist Vehicles and will give you access to vehicles including:

  • cars
  • vans
  • four-wheel drive (4x4s)
  • medium and heavy commercial vehicles
  • vehicle conversion services.

The open framework agreement will last for up to 8 years.

Benefits

  • a wide range of vehicle specifications from a variety of vehicle manufacturers
  • access to specialist vehicle conversion services
  • flexible routes to market, with an option to buy through either award with or without competition separate lots for both standard and specialist vehicles
  • access specific goods and services needed by fleets in the emergency services sector, such as police car conversions
  • option to use a local dealership for delivery and after sales service which supports small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
  • will enable aggregated (collective buying) procurement
  • technical vehicle information for cars and vans and a full breakdown of costs which will allow you to easily compare vehicles via the Fleet Portal
  • carbon reduction and social value:
    • access all fuel types including zero and low emissions vehicles
    • all suppliers will be committed to sign up to the National Highways’ Driving for Better Business scheme
    • all suppliers will be developing carbon reduction plans working towards net zero by 2050

    • Lot 7: Buses and Coaches
    • Lot 8: Ambulance Light and Medium Commercial Vehicles
    • Lot 9: Ambulance Conversions
    • Lot 10: Trailers

Customer engagement

Crown Commercial Service (CCS) are carrying out engagement sessions for the upcoming RM6382 Purchase of Standard and Specialist Vehicles framework and want to engage with stakeholders from across the public sector to help gather insights and feedback for the upcoming framework agreement.

We are holding a virtual engagement session from 12pm to 3:30pm on Thursday 24 July, and a second at 10am to 11:30am on Thursday 14 August.
