Tyres, Glass and Telematics

This agreement, let under Public Contracts Regulations 2015, helps central government and the wider public sector buy tyres and vehicle glass, including windscreens, rear windscreens and side windows. This also includes leasing, hiring or buying vehicle telematics hardware and software solutions.  

Description

Access a wide range of products and services to help you maintain and manage your fleet.

Products and services include:

  • a selection of tyres in various sizes, suitable for standard passenger cars, emergency service vehicles, and both light and heavy commercial vehicles
  • supply options include supply-only or supply and fit at a supplier depot, your premises, or via mobile fitting services
  • supplementary products and services including wiper blades, brakes, exhausts, vehicle servicing, MOTs and diagnostics 
  • vehicle glass and consumable parts and a range of associated services including calibration and chip repair
  • vehicle telematic hardware and software solutions

This agreement has an initial term of 3 years, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.

Carbon Reduction

Lot 1: Supply and fit of tyres and associated products and services for Blue Light
This is a single supplier lot providing:
  • nationwide UK  coverage for the supply, fit and management of tyres and services to individual blue light buyers
  • the supplier is required to supply a full range of commercially available tyres, including homologated tyres
  • a range of fitting services including fittings at their own network of depots, mobile fitting and 24/7 emergency call out service
  • additional products and services including wiper blades, bulbs and vehicle servicing

Lot 2: Supply, fit and management of tyres and associated products and services
  • regional or national coverage for the supply, fit, repair and management of tyres for vehicles of all sizes from standard passenger cars to heavy goods vehicles
  • tyre management solutions on a contracted or non contracted basis
  • additional products and services including wiper blades, bulbs and vehicle servicing

Lot 3: Supply, fit and repair of glass and associated products and services
  • regional or national coverage for the supply, fit and repair of any vehicle glass including windscreens, rear windscreens and side windows
  • the supply of complementary services including, but not limited to, minor bodywork repairs, calibration and chip repair
  • the supply, fit and repair of glass for emergency vehicles including anti-bandit and security glass

Lot 4: Supply of vehicle telematics hardware, software and associated products
  • telematics data extraction solutions including on-board diagnostics (OBD), CANbus and plug in devices and smartphone solutions
  • in-cab devices such as monitors, cameras and dash cams
  • external cameras and CCTV
  • asset and vehicle tracking
  • route planning
  • event video recorders and incident data recorders (IDRs)
  • solutions for specialist and heavy vehicles, such as waste management or winter maintenance solutions
  • fleet or job management optimisation
  • driver and risk management solutions such as driver ID and driver benchmarking
  • products or services related to achieving covert operations or blue light related fleet and incident management
  • any new or related products and services that develop in an evolving market that supports the delivery and deployment of effective telematics system

Lot guidance 

Lot 1 

  • single supplier, the default buying option is direct award

Lot 2, 3 and 4

  • you are able to use either direct award or further competition

Telematics solutions should be customised to your fleet’s specific requirements. We recommend holding a further competition to help identify the most suitable products, services and pricing for your needs. 

Agreement pricing request

Pricing can be requested for tyres and glass (lots 1,2 and 3) by emailing info@crowncommercial.gov.uk. 

There is no standard pricing available for telematics (lot 4) because of the bespoke nature of the services. Pricing will be determined by your requirements. Crown Commercial Service (CCS)  recommends further competition to help decide which products, services and prices suit your needs.
